Privacy Policy
Last updated September 13, 2026
This policy explains what Weather Wear collects today, through this website and its waitlist, and what it will collect once the app itself is live. If anything here is unclear, write to us — the contact details are at the end.
Who is responsible for your data
Weather Wear is run as a sole trader (entreprise individuelle) based in France. For anything to do with this policy or your personal data, write to contact@weatherwear.fr.
What we collect today
Weather Wear has not launched yet. The only personal data this website collects is the email address you give us when you join the waitlist, so we can tell you the day the app is available. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising cookies on this site.
What the app will collect
Once Weather Wear ships, the app will ask for what it needs to work: photos of your wardrobe (and the details we extract from them, such as colour or category), your location or the city you set so outfits match the local forecast, and basic account details such as your email. Camera and location access are requested on your device and only used with your permission. This policy will be updated before launch to describe exactly what is collected.
How we use it
- Send the single email you signed up for when Weather Wear launches
- Once live: turn your wardrobe and the forecast into outfit suggestions
- Keep your account secure and prevent abuse
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations
Where it's stored, and how it's protected
Data is hosted with providers operating in the European Union. Everything is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3, and once the app is live, wardrobe photos will also be encrypted at rest with AES-256. Our security setup is reviewed by an outside team twice a year.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and there are no third-party trackers on this site or in the app. Data only ever reaches the infrastructure providers that host it and, later, that deliver our emails — each bound by an agreement to protect it and use it for nothing else.
How long we keep it
A waitlist email is kept until we send the launch announcement or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. Once accounts exist, your data is kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted when you close it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Write to contact@weatherwear.fr and we'll act on it. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France) or your own country's data protection authority.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies or any technology to track you, and it carries no analytics or advertising scripts.
Children
Weather Wear is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone below the age at which their country lets them consent to it on their own.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where it matters, let waitlist subscribers know by email.
